Question…why is the government allowed

To spend more than it takes in?

Why is anyone even considering raising the debt limit if the government spenders won’t/ don’t even consider tightening its belt by doing away with unnecessary spending?

Why doesn’t the government do what normal people do? Don’t spend it unless you have it? Call in your unpaid debts? Do without.

Don’t cave is all I have to say.
