Morning Offering given

Village dead silent, not a wisp of sound

Coffee is left over and reheated…believe it or not, I made this pot myself. An occasion to mark down on the calendar

The man sleeps, a much-deserved one at that, after the antics of yesterday. He has not -a- clue what “retirement” means. I would imagine (and according to Mayo) that is what keeps him young, strong, and happy.

We begin the 5th of Sunday of Lent today. Are you sick of hearing me ask how your journey to Christ is going? Should I have been asking “How’s your journey to the risen Christ going” or perhaps you feel I should have kept my nose out of your personal, faith life? I can’t do that, “keep my nose out” that is because I truly do want to know. I want to know if you know how very important this is to your eternal life. Today the Gospel talks about Lazarus, the brother of Martha and Mary. You know Martha the one who complained about Mary not helping her and Mary the woman who so loved Jesus she, anointed his feet and dried them with her hair. You will find them in John 11, where Lazarus has been dead for 4 days and his tomb sealed. This is an absolutely fascinating chapter of John, one that’s full meaning can be pondered for a lifetime. Tell me sometime your thoughts on this book of the Bible. Let me know how your journey is going.

Most of you know I have left the Facebook, Gab, SP3RN, Twitter, etc crowds to place all here on this blog. I don’t write here to create a book. I write here to get my thoughts and my life on paper. Sometimes my “messy” life. I welcome comments, other ideas, and thoughts that you are welcome to state. I do however draw the line on vulgar, hateful words, those will be removed. I love books, so if you are an author feel free to comment with your link. Once again I do not do vulgar, or hateful. An example of that would be Sandra Brown, although I enjoy her storyline, I cannot get past the vulgar and therefore do not read her.

Birthday greetings today to my Granddaughter…Julia, “Sweet 16”.

I also remember my Great Uncle Eldred who left this world on this day in 2007. May he rest in peace.

The experiment…going well. Better sleep (but not last night due to a different issue), more energy, less knee pain (but perhaps compromised by the recent necessity for the use of a steroid for 7 days), and fewer headaches. We shall see how this ends up. The different issue is the use of a mouth guard at night to see if it relieves my headache…Um I don’t care if it does, after the agreed 10 days I won’t use it again, annoying and that is the nicest thing I can say about it. But I did agree to comply for 10 days so, I comply.

The man started yard raking yesterday. I cleaned off the patio and will get the furniture out later today. The grill is still covered but not for long.

May 11, 12, and 13 are the days I have selected for the rummage sale, this is also apparently the village-wide sale so it should be worth everyone’s time and energy. This sale will have a jet tub, mobile home furnace, furniture, wall art, tools, old/antique farming/garden tools, books, etc. My children have been encouraged to come the last weekend in April (together) to get the items they would like to have (of course to help set up too) because I am not going to be sentimental, this stuff is leaving, period.

I leave you with a funny this morning…”If your nose runs and your feet smell, you are built upside down.

Know you are prayed for.
