Skies are grey

Winter is trying to hold on with dipping temps and snowflakes, the birds, however, are convinced Spring is almost upon us. They are checking out the birdhouses and the hanging feeders; getting the lay of the land. Rabbits are venturing out of burrows more frequently. Squirrels are playing catch me if you can.

We are ready for Spring to arrive. Winter has aged us this year. Aches and pains seem to be felt sooner. The desire to sit and watch the world go by is more prominent than being motivated to start a new project or finish an old one.

The honey do list grows longer, as does the realization we can no longer get it done like we used to. Funny how the mind is willing, but the body says “Whoa! Wait just one minute, think about this.”

Onward to a new normal, thankful our minds are still young even as our bodies age.
