I started this blog space in April of 2020, thinking at that time I would end my page on Facebook; now, I am finally ready to do that.
This country isn’t what it used to be. Actually, the world isn’t either. My words have no chance of changing anything other than to get them out of my head onto paper. I doubt someone will delete me, put a notation on my words, or stop someone from reading what I have to say. But, I had those same thoughts years ago… I was wrong then and am probably wrong now.
To bring you up to speed with my world…
Eggs…national average, 3.60/doz large grade – A white. Fuel… national average, $3.49/gallon unleaded. Bread… nationally average, 1.89/ 1# loaf. Minimum wage… $7.25/hour. Milk, whole… $4.44/gallon. Rent… median $1’115.00/month. Home, 3 bedroom… $140,636.00 with $28,000.00 down payment.
Dismal, isn’t it. Unemployment national average in December’22… 3.5%. There are jobs available, but since the Covid 19 debacle, no one wants to work. Our farmers are suffering, the costs of fuel and feed are killing them.
